We will also be joined by independent investigative researcher Alfred Tom, producer and host of a digital series leveraging the reach and accessibility of social media to unmask the power, structures and dark money networks operating beneath the surface of the American political landscape.
Lastly, Mikey Weinstein is an attorney, activist and former Air Force officer. Weinstein is the founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

Fundraiser for Al Muratsuchi
Al is completing 12 years in Sacramento where he authored 19 education-related bills. For his work in the education sector, he was awarded the Legislator of the Year for 2025 by the California Federation of Teachers.
Prior to serving as assemblyman from the South Bay, he was elected twice to the Torrance Unified School District School Board.

We will be joined via Zoom by Betty Yee, a highly respected public servant with decades of leadership in California government, is an announced candidate for Governor of the State of California. She is widely recognized for her tenure as California State Controller and as a Member of the California State Board of Equalization, where she built a reputation for integrity, fiscal responsibility, and principled governance.
Following Betty Yee, the PV Democrats is proud to present another featured speaker whom The Guardian UK ranked as #1 in their world-encompassing list of the “Top 50 People Who can Save Planet Earth.” Terry Tamminen is currently the President/CEO of the non-profit “blue economy” hub AltaSea, based in the Port of Los Angeles. “Blue Economy” refers to the developing sustainable commerce of the sea, incorporating fisheries, marine and coastal resources, wheras “Green Economy “ typically relates to the land-based energy, transport, agriculture and forestry sectors. Both use strategies to address climate mitigation and adaptation, while providing tangible real-world economic benefits.
ICE Out for Good
Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
